Numerous Condor members donate their time & aircraft supporting charitible and/or non-profit organizations. This is a great way to put the Club's flying skills, experience, and resources towards a great cause. Additionally, participating in these organizations as a volunteer pilot provides some of the most rewarding flying experiences ever. A brief listing of organizations that Condor supports:
Civil Air
Patrol
The Civil Air Patrol is the official Auxiliary
of the United States Air Force, handling 90 percent of inland search
and rescue missions which save approximately 75 lives each year.
Several Condor members participate in the Butler Composite
Squadron 712. On June 7, 2010, the Squadron proudly hosted a
ceremony for the official appointment of Cadet 2nd Lieutenant
Timothy Neely, a graduate of Seneca Valley High School, to the
United States Air Force Academy. Click

details.
Pilots N Paws
An organization of animal shelters and pilots who provide transport
to animals who are being adopted or in need of veterinary care.

volunteers have supported.
Volunteer Pilots
Association
A network of volunteer pilots who provide no-charge transportation
to people in need who must travel to receive necessary medical
treatment.
Boy Scouts of America
Several scouts have visited the airport and/or participated in Club
meetings to learn about aviation while pursuing their Aviation Merit
Badge.
Over the years, Condor members have also participated in a wide variety of community events. Participating in these events not only shows Condor's support for the community, but also provides a everyone in attendance a first-hand opportunity to experience aviation from the inside out - hopefully handing down our love of flying to the next generation of pilots. Recent events that Condor supports:
Zelienople Memorial
Day Ceremony
For the past several years,
Condor has participated with Americal Legion Post #474 in the
Zelienople Memorial Day ceremony. Condor pilots perform the traditional "missing man" fly-over
honoring those veterans who gave their lives defending our country.

EAA Chapter 857
"Young Eagles Day"
Kids aged 8-17 can stop by the airport for a free airplane ride
donated by local EAA Chapter 857. Many EAA members are also
Condor members with the rides given in Condor aircraft.
Parents can enjoy the pancake breakfast.
Wings Over Pittsburgh
Airshow
Condor has been a regular exhibitor at the Wings Over Pittsburgh
airshow. Held at the Air National Guard's 911th Airlift Wing
located at the Pittsburgh International Airport (KPIT), Condor
brings Club aircraft for display, and answers questions on learning
to fly and promoting General Aviation. Although the show was
canceled in 2009, its a "go" for 2010. Stop by and visit our
booth - we'll be the one with the "little airplanes" !!
Marion Township Community Days
Each August, nearby Marion Township hosts its annual Community Days
picnic with food, games, prizes, and entertainment. One of
those prizes (and hopefully considered "entertainment") is a
complimentary airplane ride donated by Condor.
