This year's Poker Run drew over 60 Condor members, EAA members, airport tenants, and friends! Nineteen "missions" were flown as the participants journeyed from Zelie to New Castle, Greenville, Franklin, Butler County, and back to Zelie flying in search of the best (or worst) poker hand.
The Poker Run is organized each year by Jason, and is a fun day of flying and aviation camaraderie. The mission is to fly to nearby airports to pick up a sealed envelope containing a playing card at each stop (not to mention hangar flying along the way). Following the mission, Jason cooks everyone a steak dinner complemented with side dishes brought by the participants. Following dinner, the ceremonial card opening festivities commence with prizes for the best hand, worst hand, and a special Joker in the deck.
The Poker Run has become a Club tradition - special thanks to Jason for organizing the event.
